Cancellation Policy

1. This Policy is designed to limit regular cancellations of tutoring sessions, as well as to ensure respect and fairness between students and tutors.
2. There is no charge if the lesson is cancelled with more than 24 hours notice. However, if unable to attend a scheduled tutoring session, parents/guardians must:

a) Provide notice to their tutor of their unavailability no later than 24 hours prior to the scheduled lesson.
b) If their tutor is not able to be contacted, or is unavailable in any way, provide notice to BTA directly to notify them of the student’s unavailability no later than 24 hours prior to the scheduled lesson. The best way to do this is via email or through the cancellation feature in the email reminders.
3. All cancellations that occur within an hour of the scheduled lesson time will incur the full cost of the lesson. All students will receive one free cancellation within 24 hours (but no less than 1 hour) of the scheduled tutoring session, per each academic term, to account for unforeseen circumstances.
4. By failing to provide adequate notice as described above, Better Tuition Academy reserves the right to charge the client the full fee for the scheduled lesson.
